Select the asset you want to pay with and the asset you want to receive. Always check the blockchain network because the same token symbol can exist on more than one chain.
Enter the amount, review the selected pair and make sure your wallet is connected to the intended network before confirming any blockchain action.
2. Names, symbols, addresses and icons
UnionSwap can retrieve network-specific token metadata from public token lists, including the Uniswap default token list repository. Typical records contain a token name, symbol, contract or mint address, decimals, chain identifier and optional logo URI.
A familiar name or logo is not proof of authenticity. Check the network and contract or mint address from a source you trust before interacting with a token.
3. Popular tokens first, full catalogue on demand
The selector starts with commonly used assets for fast access. As you scroll, additional token records are loaded in batches. You can also search by name, symbol or contract address and use the network filter to narrow the results.
This approach keeps the page responsive even when the catalogue contains a large number of network-specific assets.
4. Route availability depends on current conditions
Token-list visibility and executable route availability are different things. A token can appear in the catalogue even when a particular pair has insufficient liquidity or no suitable route at that moment.
For any available quote, review the selected pair, expected output, network, routing information, price impact and transaction data before signing.
5. Understand the different costs
A swap can involve several types of cost: a UnionSwap service fee, blockchain gas or validator charges, liquidity-provider or bridge costs, and price impact or slippage. These costs are distinct and can vary by network and route.
The first eligible swap promotion waives the UnionSwap service fee only. Network and third-party costs may still apply.
6. Keep sensitive actions explicit
Never share your seed phrase or private key. Verify the domain, selected network, token address, approval request and transaction details before signing. If a wallet prompt does not match the action you intended, reject it and investigate.
